Rails Rescue

Your Rails app deserves a second life.

The developers who built it are gone. Upgrades feel risky. We take over legacy Ruby on Rails applications, stabilise them, and modernise them — without a rewrite.

Sound familiar?

Three signs
01

The original team disappeared

Your app was built by an agency or freelancer who's no longer around, and nobody dares touch it.

02

Stuck on an old Rails version

You're several major versions behind, security patches have stopped, and every gem update breaks something.

03

Slow, fragile, undocumented

Deploys are scary, bugs keep coming back, and onboarding a new developer takes months.

02 / Process

How we take over

Four steps
01

Audit

A fixed-price, one-week technical audit. You get a written report: risks, upgrade path, and a realistic cost estimate. No commitment beyond that.

Week one
02

Stabilise

We add tests around the critical paths, fix the worst bugs, and get deploys boring again.

Tests & fixes
03

Modernise

Incremental Rails and Ruby upgrades, dependency cleanup, performance fixes — shipped in small, safe steps while the app keeps running.

Safe steps
04

Maintain

Ongoing ownership if you want it. Most of our clients have been with us for years.

03 / Why us

Why hand it to us

Since 2012
01

Senior engineers only

The people who audit your app are the people who fix it. No junior hand-offs, no account managers in between.

How we price

Transparent anchors

Technical Audit

€1,900 · fixed price

One week. A written report on your codebase: risks, upgrade path, and a realistic estimate for what comes next. If you hire us afterwards, the audit fee is credited toward the project.

Project work

from €12,000

Scoped, fixed-budget builds. Most of our projects land between €20,000 and €80,000. We'll tell you honestly if your idea fits a smaller budget than you expected — it often does.

Ongoing development

from €4,500 / month

A senior team on tap: maintenance, upgrades, and new features at a predictable monthly cost. Pause or stop any time with 30 days' notice.

All prices in EUR, excluding VAT. Every engagement starts with a fixed-price audit, so you get a real number before committing to anything.

Pricing questions

Why don't you list exact project prices?

Because scope drives cost. The audit exists so you get a real number before committing to anything.

Do you work with small budgets?

Yes. A smaller, well-built system beats a bloated one. We'll right-size the scope to the budget.

What currency do you bill in?

EUR. We invoice from Estonia (EU) and work with EU and US clients. EU businesses with a valid VAT number are billed under the reverse-charge mechanism; VAT is added only where legally required.
